NDP McGill denounces the Decision of the Conservative Party of Canada to appoint pro-life supporter, Rachel Harder as chair of the Committee on the Status of Women. Rachel Harder has previously voiced her disagreement with women’s choice and has donated substantial funds to pregnancy clinics in her riding that refuse to provide abortions. NDP McGill stands for the personal autonomy of women and views this appointment as unacceptable and a potential obstruction to the rights of Canadian women that this committee should be working to protect.
